SEAN WILS joined Washington Square Partners as an Associate in February 2016 after graduating from Middlebury College. In his time as an intern and as an Associate since joining the firm full time, Sean has completed financial analyses of tax abatement programs and has assisted in the management of building construction and apartment leasing.

In January 2016, Sean completed Middlebury College’s MiddCORE course, a 160+ hour mentor-driven social entrepreneurship class designed to build capacities in leadership, collaboration, strategic thinking, persuasive communication, financial literacy, negotiation, ethical decision-making and crisis management. In the fall of 2015, Sean lived in Madrid, Spain, studying social policy and honing his fluency in Spanish.

While employed at the League of Conservation Voters, Sean gained significant insight into the inner workings of New York politics, preparing the board of trustees for interviews with local and high profile political candidates including Bill de Blasio. Working under a portfolio manager at the Fortress Investment Group global macro fund, Sean conversed with sell-side analysts, evaluating reports and analyzing industry trends to determine future company performance.

In May of 2016, Sean went to Chios, Greece to work with NGOs such as Drop in the Ocean and Zaporeak to provide clothing, medical necessities, and food in refugee camps.
