Brooklyn College

Washington Square Partners assisted the Brooklyn College Foundation with the acquisition of the last privately held property that inhibited the campus from being a contiguous parcel from Nostrand Avenue to Bedford Avenue. WSP is working with CUNY and Brooklyn College to evaluate potential redevelopment scenarios for a college owned parking lot and a privately held property. The evaluation included various zoning options to enhance the recently acquired site including the recommendation to demap a city street located on campus.
WSP is currently working with CUNY and the College on the approval process for the rezoning and demapping actions. In May 2013 the project was certified into ULURP and WSP will assist CUNY through the statutory process.
